Sketa is an Author | Illustrator | Artist living and working internationally - both in both Korea and Australia.
Born in Australia, Sketa studied Visual Arts at the University of Southern Queensland - then the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education. Since that period Sketa has gone on to complete studies in Education, Korean Linguistics and Diplomacy. Sketa - also known as Selina Kucks, is a fully qualified teacher and linguist. Selina is all about keeping kids engaged, learning and reading. She believes literacy begins at home. As a founding member of the MLTAQ Korean Teachers Network, she is frequently seen promoting both the learning of languages and literacy in schools. In 1997, Selina Kucks was acknowledged by Korean Ministry of Cultural for dedicated service to the arts and ten years later she was awarded the Australia Day cultural/arts award for being one of six founding members of Arts Council Toowoomba Inc.
