Baby Books
The Baby Books range mimics the those books found in Bedtime Tales...only smaller.
Poss is a bit of a day-dreamer. He never finds the time or the energy to look for food. He cannot understand Milly's concerns. She is extremely distraught. The job of searching for the day's meal is always left up to her. Though Poss never seems to mind. He is never hungry.
However, in the lettuce patch... |
The job of cleaning is never done. Milly works hard to sweep out the log, but she has not cleaned since last bush fire season. It is a blustery day. All is not well in the forest. A broken bottle lies on forest floor. Poss is off with the boys. He is not due back until well after daybreak.
However, the day grows hot... |
The summer rains are here. Milly is warmly snuggled up in her hollow log. She does not want to collect ripe berries from the acacia trees, but she knows she must. Poss is in the neighbourhood park collecting all sorts of tasty morsels.
However, Poss arrives home extremely eager... |
Milly's babies are not far off. She is heavily burdened with offspring. She is concerned they will be caught in a savage bushfire. She wonders if they should move to a new abode. Poss is not so sure, but is happy with whatever Milly decides.
"What do you suggest we do?" |
Milly gave birth in the spring of '92. It had rained solid, all week long. The downpipes were a gush of water. Their new abode was warm and safe. She and Poss had built a wonderful nest beside the chimney stack. Milly was getting hungry. She sent Poss off to find food. The only way out, was through a small gap in the galvanised iron-roof.
However, not all went according to plan.... |
