Do you accept manuscripts?No - not regularly. There are specific times throughout the year i.e., April and September when we have been known to ask for submissions. That being said, if there is an opportunity that develops throughout the year, requiring fulfilling, we will place a notice on ELK Publishing in Opportunities. So, remember to check in regularly. We focus on children's literature, YA books and the development of educational material, which are usually produced by our in-house authors. We are presently not accepting manuscripts. Do you require artists/illustrators?Yes. From time to time ELK Publishing will require the assistance of exceptionally talented artists/illustrators. Please check out opportunities or you can send us your details with a link to your bio portfolio with examples of your work. We'll get back to you as soon as we can. Do your in-house authors do school visits?Yes. Our in-house authors will consider doing school visits, presentations and/or workshops. Please check the individual author sites for details. Can parents also purchase products from ELK Publishing?Yes. At this stage, all requests for purchases are accepted by ELK Publishing. If you are a teacher or your schools wishes to purchase bulk orders (semi-wholsale) or you have a fund-raising request, please drop us an e-mail at [email protected] What is the estimated time of arrival for purchases?Please allow 3-5 working days for Australian orders to be processed. International orders will arrive 6-10 working days after dispatch. Due to Covid restrictions and the Xmas period orders may be delayed. Please place all orders early.

Obviously, the more people that read, score, leave reviews and or comments on your book, the better. When I first started writing, the biggest problem was getting the word out there - that I had actually, written a book. Getting sufficient reviews was another problem. How long does it take before the book review/author interview is published?We do our best to publish all information, within the week. Remember we also run #FreeFriday on the 1st & 3rd Friday of the month tweet the news about our FREE Promotion helping authors get noticed. #FreeFriday How long will our book remain on the ELK Publishing website?Given ELK Publishing revamps the site early December, then your book plug will be valid for around a year, give or take a month or two. That's a pretty good deal, hey? As an author, how can you do more to get your book out there?You can 'Share' your ELK Publishing page/review/interview as much as you like. Just hit the 'Share' button for whatever social media account you wish and Bob's your uncle. Can I request an author interview?Yes. This is something you can submit easily. We've drafted up a few good questions for you to think about, draft up a response and send it to us. This way you can think seriously about how you might want to answer each question. Take your time. There is no time limit. Once you are complete, flick it to us and we will edit if needed and then, freely plug your author interview on our site.
This is great practice for you to explain 'you', as an author. A reflective process, enables you to learn about your practice and how that might relate to your audience/readers. I hope this helps your writing career shine a million stars bright! |
