According to Random House, the new novel by Rushdie "weaves together a gripping story of life over the last eight years: the rise of the Tea Party, Gamergate and narcissistic, media-savvy villain sporting makeup of coloured hair."
Random House Executive editor- Will Murphy stated they had acquired the U.S. rights for The Golden House from the Wylie Agency and called the book, "astounding, timely and extraordinarily moving."
On the flip side, Grisham's new novels - Camino Island and the new thriller (title yet to be released), will see 1.5 million copies released for the first round of printing.
Sonny Mehta - Chairman and Editor in Chief of Knopf stated the JG novels are some of his best work to date. Further updates on the new "classic, suspense-filled legal thriller" would be disclosed closer to the release date.
